What do you folks usually pay at a dealer for a Mobil 1 oil change? Thanks, ------------------ My serv. manager is so cool, he told me to bring up the oil myself. walmart has the best deals on Mobil 1. I just pay for labor and filter there. I paid $75.00 for it. I know I paid less at my usual dealership. They charged me $8.36 a quart, and I paid for 6 quarts.. Ron ------------------ yes you should know how to change the oil yourself, but my back is tired of crawling around underneath....If only I had a pit or lift...LOL Ron This message has been edited by cnote6 on 08-21-2003 at 10:32 AM Dude I already told you when you were using those inuendos the other day, that I don't swing that way... Christy looks way better than me anyhow...01Prowler Today I decided to try out a different Chrysler dealership for a Mobil 1 oil change on the Prowler today. I figured what the heck it's closer to home. Now I don't think it was worth the drive I saved because of the price, but I'll determine that later.
RonALLEY CAT 01 - I think you are going to see a charge from $45 to $60 at a dealership. I pay $19 for the 5-qt Mobil 1 jug and $5 for a Mopar filter, and do it myself.
JMOCTProwler I paid $25 I supplied the oil, they didn't carry it. They supplied the Mopar filter Black Tie 161 My dealer's price of Mobil 1 went up to $15 qt.!!! davidn walmart Scotty I bring my own Mobil 1 and just pay for labor and filter. 01Prowler Well,
Sounds like you all got it figured out...cnote6 Did they clean you windshild and fill your wiper fluid? superdoppler Yikes....I know nothing about cars, but I knew if I didn't learn how to do anything else, I needed to learn how to change the oil. It'll save you a lot of money and you'll feel better knowing it was done right. Randy Cobb Mine included Mobil 1 oil and filter for $52.29. Black Tie 161 After years of changing my own oil, it's not worth it anymore....Too much of a pain to dispose of the oil, and getting the car up enough to get under to the filter....I've had it. besides, When I take my car to the dealer, they know me, the car, and there's almost always something else for them to look at while the car is there. 01Prowler That's the way I feel..
If I had a pit I would do it all day long. However spending 2 hrs doing an oil change isn't for me. I had rather drop the car off, and leave it or wait 30 minutes and drive away.cnote6 MANN!! someone got LUBED!!! R Rodenfels Paid $3.77 a qrt. at Walmart and put in a Mobil 1 filter in
30 minutes. First time I changed oil myself in 15 years. I will continue to do it! Too EASY. Other cars can go to the Dealer.GenoTex My dealer did it the first change only..... after the $58 bill (AFTER I told em they could get it for $18 for 5qts at WalMart... then I do it now.
Use the MoPar filter.
Takes about 20 mins max, and the 'dump' is only 3 blocks away for me.ed monahan Here we can take old oil to AutoZone to get recycled. No charge to get rid of it. 01Prowler quote:
